This issue of Renaissance Drama, devoted to the topic of "Media, Technology, and Performance" is co-edited by W.B. Worthen, Wendy Wall, and Jeffrey Masten. The various articles displayed here address the interface between drama and its various modes of production over the past four centuries. This volume explores the relationship of drama to other forms of early modern spectacle (pageantry, masques), to the specificities of typography and the economics of the book industry, to the intersection of drama with film and DVD production, and to the way that stage technologies and theatrical economies of the 16th, 17th and 20th centuries define plays and playing. Rather than thinking of the early modern text as something simply reconstituted in its different incarnations, these essays make clear that different media force a rethinking of the terms that we use to envision, conceptualize, and even to see the work of drama.

Beautiful but Terrifying!

If you've ever read a series, like I'm sure most have. Usually, you think, oh well it's the second. There's no way it could be better than the first. Then you start to read and the magic that was In the first, still resides in the heart of this story.

Elena the Steel Maiden is on a mission to save Jon. But the Black Magic has already poisoned a man, that she loved. After realizing she couldn't save him at that moment. She had only one choice but to go back to the pit. But there is no good news, there's only another dangerous journey. She has to go to Witchdom and get some help. With a few others following, helping her.

There's a part in the book where Elena is describing a power she's never seen before, Beautiful but Terrifying. This how I feel. This is nail biting, heart pumping, beautiful and terrifying. It's a brilliant fantasy read and I love it.

I loved Elena, she is confident, even when those think she is weak. She fights and isn’t afraid to die. She knows that so many lives count on her and she’ll do anything to keep going. There are a ton of new characters in this one. Richardson’s writing makes it easy to love these characters and really hate the evil ones.

The Journey that Elena goes on is so nerve wracking. I seriously could not put this book down. It’s one of those stories, that you don’t want to be over but you have to absolutely see what happens next.

Really enjoyed this book...

I'm glad I purchased this book. Many mysteries of the story started to unfold and you definitely learn a lot more about the characters. I love Elena's determination even though their situation seems bleak and hopeless at times. I can hardly wait for the new book in the series!

Things Are Getting Good!

Oh, things are getting good. The previous book ended on a bit of a cliffhanger, and this one picked right back up and started off with a bang. I found myself starting to like Elena more. She's a tough little thing and I think she found a purpose in her life that really had me, as the reader, rooting for her.

The author did try to isolate her some, as she's a witch and those helping her are humans, but there wasn't much proven that they didn't like her other than Elena's own uncertain thoughts. The journey to the land of the witches wasn't as drawn out as I suspected and there was plenty of adventure along the way. I really enjoyed the imaginations that went into the familiars and other evils in the forests.
Arriving at the palace was like the story had been turned on it's head. Suddenly, there were new obstacles in Elena's way. I actually really liked where the story was headed once she found the palace. She really got to know her powers a bit better, and a bit of the political intrigue that was going on. I don't want to give too much away, but the scandal had me glued to those pages. I had to find out what would happen!

The beginning definitely didn't prepare me for the ending, and I think that's why I can't resist five stars. The obstacles in the way were entertaining, and the characters were becoming more interesting and the pacing kept me on my toes. I look forward to the next book in the series!

Maybe I'm just a hard gainer???

I had high hopes for this book. I would do the penis exercises every time I would lift weights which was about 3 times a week.
I did this for three months. I kept a written record, and I only missed 4 days out of the three months. My diet was plant based, and I exercise regularly.

I would jelq in the shower, and do kegels before bed. Over time I listened to my body, and gradually increased the number of kegels and time I jelqed. I would only occasionally stretch (there are other techniques and tips in the book, but I'm just saying what I did).

I didn't want to have surgery, I didn't want to pop pills, so when I heard about this book it IT GAVE ME SOOO MUCH HOPE.
I will continue to do this just in case I'm a "hard gainer." Then I will change my review if I see any improvement.
I'm kind of small down there and it effects me mentally when I'm in the locker room, or with lovers.
If anyone knows of a way I can get bigger I would be much obliged.

I had been looking years for way to increase my size. But everything I research what is either a scam or a dead end. But this book really change all of that just using the knowledge of this book for a month has improved everything. So if you want your lady to smile like mine use this book!!!!

About the Author
All-star artist John Romita Jr. has drawn nearly every Marvel character including Spider-man (Amazing Spider-man Coming Home), the Punisher and Thor. Following in his father's footsteps, he is best-known for his Spider-man work.

the title says it all

If the title does not grab you and make you want to but this book then i am probably wasting my time but here i go....john romita jr's work is so close to the way Jack Kirby would have done it is scary... the over the top action shots and the power of both featured characters is ssssooo cool the run was first presented in thor vol 2 22-26 a great ark if you missed this in the early 2000's now is your chance to pick this book up and read it.

The Mad Titan Returns

This is a great, fun, action-packed story. Dan Jurgens and John Romita Jr are at their best here. Thor and Thanos going at it in a thunderous all-out brawl! Highly recommend it to any Thor, Thanos, or Marvel fan. Nay...any fan of comics. Grab a pint and enjoy!!!

Not the actual Thanos!

I should point this out, as it looks like no one else has, but this is not the real Thanos in this story. The events in this story are very out of character for where Thanos was left off in the mid 90s by writers like Jim Starlin and Ron Marz. It was latter retconed by Jim Starlin in Infinity Abyss that the Thanos in this story (and others like in Kazar and Avengers: Celestial Quest) were actually clone experiments by the real Thanos. With that said this is an in continuity book and the events in this do have impact on latter titles like Infinity Abyss and the solo Thanos run, collected in the trade Thanos: Redemption.

Overall if you're looking at this book in hopes of learning more about the Thanos character this isn't the place to look. But if you're looking for a fun, somewhat epic Thor story and you're a fan of the art style from the early 2000s, then you'll likely enjoy this book.

From project inception through implementation, Sustainable Site Design sets forth a comprehensive approach to context-informed sustainable landscape design. This approach emphasizes the need to understand each site's unique potential for sustainability, especially in relation to the ecological, social, economic, and cultural conditions of its regional setting. Sustainable itself!

As a landscape architect employed by a firm that prides itself in the practice of sustainable design, I was eager to dig into its contents to confirm whether it was worth the purchase or if it was another book capitalizing on the popularity of the topic. It was not the latter. I find it not only has the relevance a practicing professional will find applicable to today's design problems, but in many ways its lessons are grounded in principles one may apply in the future. Sustainability, however one defines it, has a common denominator of timelessness. This book has that and because it is like-minded in its approach, we find solace in referencing it often. Worth the purchase.

I simply love Karen Kingsbury books. Just when I think I have read her best book, the next one is even better. Her books are so inspiring, uplifting while addressing life's issues. After reading at least 17 of her books, I will never read a secular novel again.

I loved book one of the Baxter series. Book 2 was even better. You start to know the whole family so much deeper and love them all so much more. I am not a big fan of a real long series, until now. I just can't wait to read more about the Baxter family. I loved Ashley from book one but boy what a wonderful woman she becomes in book two. I won't give away anymore. Just have book 3 on hand when you finish 2. Great job Karen Kingsbury again. I am in love with this family.

Best buy for the money.

I have just finished reading Robert Mandelberg's Easy Mind-Reading Tricks and, as there are no reviews posted, I would like to air my thoughts. I have been actively involved in magic and mentalism for over 40 years, and I have read much of the published literature in the area. For the average amateur, I firmly believe this book is the best, and most reasonably priced, source of material I have ever encountered. Authors of similar books are generally content to merely list various methods of performing effects, without any discussion of performance. This is similar to telling someone who wants to learn to play a piano solo, "Well, you could produce a nice melody using these chord progressions." Mandelberg, on the other hand, gives the reader a series of fully routined and tested effects which involve mystery, humor, and suspense. In short, each and every one of the mysteries he presents is fully routined and orchestrated such that the resulting performance will be entertaining. While the quality of the material he presents varies, as does the impact on the audience and the amount of work involved, he discusses these factors with the reader. Typically, he offers a simple presentation, then discusses extra touches which enhance the overall effect if you are willing to do the work. In summary, all of the effects presented in this book are fully routined, entertaining, and discussed in detail. Several of the effects are used by some of the top performers in mentalism. There is more usable material here than is to be found in most "professional" publications at ten times the price. If you do what he says, you will not be in danger of boring your audience with a lot of geeky tricks. You will entertain and mystify them instead. Bravo!

Excellent beginners books

No fancy training required a novice can perform most of the tricks in this book with little trouble and a little practice. Some of the tricks are simply mathematical in nature others require a little trickery but the author is very straight forward about how much skill is required to pull off each of the tricks.

Some pretty good stuff in this book, pretty basic tricks but for the price it might be worth it to you. If your looking for draw dropping tricks this is not the book for you, more of beginers with a few sophisticate tricks.
